12 noon

now that i figured it out, high tide occurs at approximately 12 noon, which will be the best time to catch a fish.

i caught a grouper yesterday. well, make that 2 groupers. one was too small, it slipped among the openings on the planked floors and it fell back to the water, cheh! it was too small bah.

a grouper. looks ugly but when cooked, it is delicious~
well, metis caught his first.

it is not clear in this picture, but he caught a pufferfish (inedible and a useless catch if u ask me). well, it is his first so there are no reasons that we should not be celebrating to this amazing feat!

bunch of red-neck lawyers giving metis a hurrah!

Sungai Besar is an amazing place to fish :). the scene, the air, the huts, the seatings, the pukat-men (motherf$%*ers), all give the location a big boost to be an ideal fishing spot. well, not for the pukat-men, they are the pest for all fishing ethusiasts out there.

bunch of motherf@#$ers!

to understand how they work, we have to look at the concept of pukat (net-fishing). the pukat is like a wall of net, covering a vast area of water, this wall of net is formed into one big circle, trapping any fishes that are inside the circle formation. then, the net would be dragged together, and pulled to the boat, and voila!*, fishes. why is it a problem? the net is like a wall preventing any incoming fishes for us to fish out. or look at this formula,

pukat = net

net = wall

wall = prevents anything from entering a territory.

we substitute 'anything' with 'fishes'.

wall = prevents fishes from entering a territory.

so,

wall = no fishes

no fishes = cannot do fishing.

no fishing = pukat-men's fault.

pukat-men = shit-heads.

thank you and good night.
